Florida Highway Patrol officials have identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash Saturday evening as 63-year-old Douglas Bainbridge of Valrico.
Bainbridge was riding west on State Road 60 about 6:45 p.m. when a Toyota driven by Shonda R. Bailey-Christian, 39, of Brandon, turned in front of him toward N Miller Road, according to FHP spokesman Sgt. Larry Krause.
After the collision, both drivers were transported to Brandon Regional Hospital where Bainbridge died. Bailey-Christian sustained minor injuries. The accident is under investigation.
