A Coral Springs teenager was killed in an accident on the Florida Turnpike when the car that she was a passenger in flipped over. Although the young girl was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the car accident, she was nonetheless ejected from the automobile. She died on impact.
The other passengers in the vehicle suffered minor injuries but were transported to the hospital via helicopter. The turnpike was closed for a significant period of time while the highway patrol investigated the cause of the car crash.
