A Hollywood woman was killed in an overnight crash on Interstate 95, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. The Hollywood woman died at the scene. According to authorities, the woman was the passenger on a motorcycle traveling north on Interstate 95 at Hallandale Beach Boulevard at about 11:45 p.m., FHP said.
The motorcycle slammed into the rear of a road maintenance vehicle, FHP officials said. Both the driver and passsenger on the motorcycle at the time of the motorcycle accident, who were not wearing helmets, were ejected from the motorcycle. The driver of the bike was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he is recovering from serious injuries. The driver of the maintenance vehicle was not injured.
