Florida Boy Killed In Car Accident After Chasing Ice Cream Truck in Street
A 2-year-old boy was killed after reportedly running into traffic in DeLand, Florida. The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the boy and his mother were walking along State Road 11 Friday night when he ran out in front of a van. The boy apparently got away from his mother when he saw an ice cream vendor pushing his cart.
The van's driver swerved in an attempt to miss the boy and avoid the motor vehicle accident but still hit him. The truck driver also collided head-on with a vehicle whose driver was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The boy was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. He reportedly died Saturday morning.
